Hello!
By the time you read this newsletter, I will be off on a wee adventure walking part of the Camino de Santiago through northern Portugal and Spain.
It's just me, my backpack and my own two feet to propel me forward.
If you've been around this newsletter space for a while you know that I've done other multi-day walks before including the fabled West Highland Way in Scotland. But this will be the first time walking on my own.
I'm all parts excited and nervous!
Nervous wondering if I have packed too much or forgotten something. Probably. Will I get lost? Probably. Will I get blisters or lose a toenail? Probably. Will it rain? Probably. And so many other things I could add to my worry list.
But I am also excited to walk on my own, talk to others on the path, eat yummy food, write, read and reflect. I'm excited for a new adventure!
There is a saying that "the Camino will provide". Meaning, whatever you need is there for you. The Camino has provided for many before me and will continue to provide for many still to come. I just need to trust that the path will appear when we need it.
Depending on where I am at you may hear from me next Friday. But if not, I will be sure to share my experience in a future newsletter.
Wishing you a peaceful weekend.
Buen Camino,
Sarah

International Women’s Day
Today is International Women’s Day and I am so grateful to all the women in my life who lift me up every day. We are all stronger together. I shared some thoughts on International Women’s Day a few years ago that still rings true for me today. You can read more here.
travelling light …
As I packed for my trip I was reflecting on how much do I really need.
Am I packing for the what-ifs and the maybes? Am I packing for what I fear?
It's been a reminder to focus on what I know and trust that whatever I need will be available when I need it.
Do you pack items "just in case"? What if you travelled lighter?
